Design Delivery
- Produce and review detailed 2D/3D design drawings and specifications for pipeline infrastructure and associated temporary works.
- Develop engineering calculations and design reports in accordance with BS, EN, and Eurocode standards.
- Lead and validate temporary works designs, including:
- Pipe supports and crossings
- Stopple pits, flumes, trench boxes
- Ditch crossings, bogmats, and sheet-piled excavations.
Coordination & Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical lead for assigned projects, supervising junior engineers and CAD technicians.
- Manage design interfaces with clients, third parties, contractors, and project managers.
- Support the development of Design Risk Assessments (DRA) and ensure that residual risks are effectively communicated to the delivery teams.
Innovation & Process Development
- Identify and implement innovative design methods, technologies, and tools (e.g., point cloud processing, BIM).
- Participate in R&D initiatives related to pipeline integrity, temporary works, and digital construction.
Compliance & Handover
- Ensure designs comply with CDM 2015 regulations and company SHEQ standards.
- Support site teams with design change applications and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Prepare and issue as-built drawings and records for client handover.
