THE ROLE

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead the next phase of the GTEC brand and growth journey. This is not a traditional marketing management role. You will drive awareness, demand and commercial growth across the company’s offerings and help reposition GTEC in owning the marketing strategy across brand, demand generation, digital, product marketing, partnerships, PR and commercial enablement. You will ensure marketing becomes a measurable driver of awareness, engagement, pipeline growth and revenue. This is a pivotal role in supporting business growth, expanding market presence and ensuring strong, cohesive brand positioning as we enter new sectors. We are looking for someone equally comfortable shaping strategic direction as well as rolling up their sleeves to deliver.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing strategy
    • Develop and deliver a marketing plan that aligns with GTEC’s commercial priorities and growth objectives.
    • Identify priority sectors, audiences and campaigns to drive demand for GTEC offerings.
    • Work closely with the United Infrastructure group marketing team to ensure alignment and integration across the broader group.
  • Brand development and positioning
    • Lead the evolution of the GTEC brand narrative and positioning, developing a clear and differentiated market proposition.
    • Create and manage a comprehensive content calendar aligned to business goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, engaging content across all channels.
    • Increase GTEC’s visibility, authority and reputation across target sectors.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing activity.
  • Demand generation and commercial growth
    • Own the marketing funnel from awareness through lead generation and conversion.
    • Build and develop scalable demand generation activity to drive pipeline growth.
    • Deliver campaigns with clear attribution, reporting and measurable RoI.
  • New Products and go-to-market
    • Support the development of competitively differentiated propositions and go-to-market strategies.
    • Assist with launch planning, sector targeting and sales enablement materials.
    • Work closely with leadership and product stakeholders to shape roadmap priorities using customer and market insight.
  • Digital marketing
    • Oversee digital marketing activity including website optimisation, SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media and marketing automation.
    • Develop campaigns that generate qualified leads and improve customer conversion journeys.
    • Monitor, analyse and optimise marketing performance through data, reporting and insight.
    • Manage external agencies and partners against clear KPIs and outcomes.
    • Support and guide Digital Content Creators to ensure alignment with wider marketing strategy.
  • Content, PR and thought leadership
    • Build a stronger external profile and market voice for GTEC across media, events and industry engagement.

    • Promote GTEC’s role in supporting the UK’s net-zero workforce.
  • Partner and ecosystem marketing
    • Support the development of a structured partner programme.
    • Create co-marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives with manufacturers, distributors and group businesses.
    • Develop partner toolkits and enablement materials to drive referral activity and ecosystem growth.
    • Strengthen relationships across the wider United Infrastructure group.
  • Team and marketing operations
    • Build scalable marketing systems, reporting processes and operational discipline.
    • Create clarity, accountability and focus across all marketing activity.
    • Use insight and performance data to continually improve marketing effectiveness and capability.
