To assist the installation supervisor on switchgear installations, off‑loading, installing busbars, bus wiring, and testing the switchgear panels/system. Test and inspect the quality of all switchgear assembly and its components. Integrate/assemble and modify switchgear assemblies and supervise others doing this activity. Repair switchgear when required. Function test switchgear. Internal wiring, integration and testing duties when required. Ensure quality standards are met. Comply with all site rules, PPE requirements and H&S regulations.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Strong proven track record in electrical engineering.
- Excellent engineering skills and testing experience.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Pro‑active & attention to detail essential.
- Good computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
- Ability to travel at short notice, including long distances.
- Team player.
- Willing to work overtime when required, including working away from home Monday – Friday.
- Awareness of H+S regulations on site.
Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
