United Infrastructure is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team. As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the commercial team and contributing towards its success across the full lifecycle of each project — from measuring completed works to approving subcontractor supply chain applications. You will be supporting:
- Contract management in line with JTC, NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
- Subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking
- Deliver accurate and timely completed works measures and billing processes
- Produce monthly cost value reconciliation and generate earned value analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in NHF SoR Rates or similar bespoke SoR rates
- Familiarity with the construction industry
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 (grade C or above), including Math, English, and ideally a Science
- Any previous Level 4 related qualification or equivalent discipline is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
- Basic understanding of standard methods of measurement
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility
- Willingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
