We are looking for an apprentice to join our Water Infrastructure team who design, build and maintain critical water and wastewater assets on behalf of the UK’s water companies. As an Apprentice with United Infrastructure, you’ll be given a real job from day one where you will gain hands‑on industry experience, and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. ResponsibilitiesDay to day you will support our Project Management team, who are responsible for overseeing and delivering complex projects within our organisation, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Some of your key responsibilities will be supporting the team with:
- managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all objectives are met
- updating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- monitoring resources across various project stages
- monitoring potential risks that may impact project delivery
- collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
As part of your apprenticeship programme you will be enrolled on the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship with one of our training partners. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be awarded a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship, and will automatically qualify for Associate Membership with the Association of Project Management. You will then have the option to progress to the Level 6 Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme. You will be fully supported through a variety of methods such as lectures, learning materials, and one‑to‑one support from your tutor or coach. They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme.
QualificationsIn order to be successful in this role, we would like you have already achieved, or be predicted to achieve in Summer 2026:
- GCSEs at Grade 9‑4/A*-C including English and Mathematics
- A level 3 qualification, e.g. BTEC, A-Levels, T-Level etc. ideally in a construction or closely related discipline.
- Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Good organisation, time management and communication skills
- Full driving licence, or be actively working towards achieving this.
You must also be available to start full‑time work by September 2026 and have:

- The motivation and dedication to successfully complete your apprenticeship programme.
