Due to sustained growth and increased workload—particularly within our AMP8 framework agreements—United Living Group is hiring a Framework Lead with a strong civil engineering background. The role provides the opportunity to lead complex, multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple ongoing projects (up to ÂŁ10 million in value).
- Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects.
- Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and achieving target margins.
- Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen.
- Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Chair and lead project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions.
- Manage change control and client expectations through effective communication and risk management.
- Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost-effective, and buildable solutions.
- Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams.
- Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained.
- Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and highly organised individual who brings a passion for delivering quality civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate is an experienced project leader with a strong track record in the water industry, particularly across complex infrastructure and non‑infrastructure works, and possesses a problem‑solving mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the drive to exceed client expectations.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Project Manager role within the water industry
- SMSTS (CITB)
- CSCS (Manager Level)
- CDM Awareness
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
Desirable Skills And Qualifications
- APM PMQ (or equivalent project management qualification NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely)
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification
- Proficient in MS Project or similar planning tools
- SEATS or Environmental Management training
