Overview of the Grab Team Leader and Grab operatives role at United Living Group. United Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly expanding business focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects across the utility and social infrastructure sectors. Our team of highly skilled specialists deliver innovative solutions to the complex challenges our clients face. Our company is split into two business areas:
- Utility Infrastructure – design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
- Social Infrastructure – revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain own and others health and safety.
- Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructed.
- Follow health and hygiene rules.
- Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.
- Backfilling of excavations to correct standards.
- Removal of spoil from excavation areas.
- Manhandle materials, plant and equipment.
- Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes.
- Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes.
- Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security.
- Install and maintain road works to “Chapter 8” standard.
- Assist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company business.
- Maintain safety, environmental and quality records.
- Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentation.
- Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence.
- A valid Grab Lorry Loader licence.
- National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR).
- NRSWA (Units 1-4 minimum).
- EU Skills registration.
- CSCS card.
