Job Description
Reporting directly to the Electrical Design Manager to support development of telecommunications site designs through input to and preparation of electrical system designs. Adopting a customer-focused approach to the client and their representatives and maintaining client defined electrical standards and governance throughout the design phase.
This role is ideal for someone who is a recent Graduate (fully qualified) and looking for a company who will give a clear career path and progression. Supported by a great team of Electrical leads who can guide you and support while giving you exposure to a growing organisation.
Specific Duties:
- Preparation and verification of electrical system designs & schematic layouts to operator guidance and requirements as requested by Electrical Design Manager
- Use Modecsoft Electrical OM (EOM) software to prepare electrical designs and calculations.
- Collaborate with designers in defining overall telecommunication site design solutions
- To support the Electrical Design Manager in daily electrical engineering / design activities and act as point of contact when they are absent
- To help develop the electrical understanding of the designers, teaching skills and passing on knowledge when relevant
- Make recommendations for further investigation work
- Implement further investigation output within electrical design solutions, with the aid of engineering and site reports and Electrical Design Manager support
- On site electrical survey / investigation activities when required
- Ensure all work is in accordance with ULC policies and procedures and current Health and Safety policies and legislation
- Any other duties as assigned

- Set a good example to others by working safely and ensuring BS7671 design and safety standards criteria are met at all times.

Qualifications

- Computer literate, including software packages such as Microsoft Office
- Able to record detail & complete documentation manually & electronically.
