This is a part-time post (18 hours a week) based in Stamford Out of Hours, delivering face-to-face consultations and telephone triage.
We are looking to recruit dynamic individuals with minor illness skills to complement our existing team of GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs). The service operates with a focus on seeing, treating, managing, discharging and referring patients of all ages to LCHS services or partner services across Lincolnshire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a service for minor illness: see, treat, manage, discharge and/or refer patients of all age ranges to other LCHS services or partner services across Lincolnshire.
- Provide telephone triage and face-to-face consultations during scheduled hours: 19:00–22:00, Monday–Friday; 08:00–22:00 on weekends and bank holidays.
- Support other urgent care services such as UTCs, home visiting and the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS), which run 24/7, with daily GP support available remotely or in person and established referral pathways into specialties.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet essential criteria in the person specification and provide evidence of experience in treating minor illness.
- Hold a non-medical prescribing qualification or demonstrate willingness to work towards.
- Demonstrate the right values and behaviours, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications and requirements
- Experience in the treatment of minor illness.
- Recognised qualifications in minor illness and/or experience working in GP practice.
- Non-medical prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards it.
