We have made significant, sustained progress at GCSE and are proud to have been the most improved school in Swindon. Nova Hreod Academy has approximately 900 pupils in Years 7-11. The school is situated in purpose-built £25 million premises, benefiting from excellent, state-of-the-art facilities, and situated within the beautiful county of Wiltshire, within commuting distance for Bristol, Bath and Oxford. After a visit from Ofsted in November 2022, the academy received a second ‘Good’ judgement in a row. Nova Hreod is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. Nova Hreod Academy is looking for a Vice Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team this September. If you are an experienced Assistant Principal looking to join a thriving academy, then we can offer a supportive school within a highly successful MAT. We want to hear from leaders who wish to continue the success of our academy, share our vision for providing an outstanding environment for teaching and learning and, like us, value drive, integrity, scholarship and contribution.
Your opportunity
This is an exciting leadership position which would suit a highly motivated Assistant Principal seeking a Vice Principal post within a supportive, friendly and experienced academy team. You will have a wealth of opportunities to develop as a leader within our MAT, United Learning.
What we are looking for
The successful applicant should share the values, vision and ethos of Nova Hreod: to ensure that every pupil is able to flourish academically and personally in an aspirational and supportive environment. You will help lead and manage the pastoral team who oversee behaviour, attendance, character education, safeguarding, SEND, our SuperNova extra-curricular programme, PSHE, student leadership, our house system and our tutor programme.
