Job description
Job description
Wye School is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school, opening in 2013 and now fully established with a 6th form. We are a relatively small school, with 600 students, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. The school has built on United Learningโs successful track record nationally of providing an excellent secondary education for local children and is oversubscribed and has excellent exam outcomes.
The successful candidate will join the school in September 2024 and will be part of a small Modern Foreign Languages department of two staff that deliver Spanish and French at KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to be the Spanish specialist and, for the right candidate, be the Head of Languages. As a small school, we work as part of a small, close knit team, but, being part of United Learning offers excellent professional development and future career prospects. We work alongside Chilmington Green School, the other local United Learning secondary school.
We welcome applications from both ECTs (not suitable for the Head of MFL role but will be considered for Spanish Teacher role) and experienced practitioners. We will consider a part time request.
We actively welcome visits and would be delighted to show you the school. For a confidential discussion about this role, please contact:
