The Royal School is a small, independent, co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 9–18. The key responsibilities are listed below:

  • Responding to HR enquiries via telephone and email
  • Following administration processes for new starters, contract changes, and leavers; issuing documents, monitoring returns, and ensuring checks are completed accurately and timely; keeping stakeholders updated
  • Collating monthly overtime and inputting data into payroll software (iTrent)
  • Managing employee documents and records in line with GDPR
  • Providing HR information for reference requests
  • Handling recruitment and onboarding: collecting information, drafting adverts, scheduling interviews, completing pre-recruitment checks, liaising with line managers and candidates
  • Monitoring new starter information and input into the school’s SCR
  • Monitoring expiry of fixed-term contracts and internal processes; sending documentation to line managers and collecting returns
  • Working with IT systems including Word, Excel, and HR/Payroll System (iTrent)
  • General office admin such as employee filing
