Job Description
United Learning is a group of schools, which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country. We seek to improve the life chances of all the children and young people we serve and make it our mission to bring out 'the best in everyone' – students, staff, parents, and the wider community. Uniquely, our Group includes significant numbers of schools in both the public and the private sectors, working together for mutual benefit.
We are seeking to appoint an Estates Project Manager to oversee our capital investment plan and strategic maintenance currently across our schools in the North of England. Reporting to the Director of Estates, you will liaise with the Heads, School Business Managers and Facilities Manager to identify estates priorities and oversee the capital investment plans and major maintenance programmes for the academies, ensuring that all works are delivered in line with DfE requirements.
The successful candidate will be customer focused and have a proactive approach, with the ability to adapt according to the stakeholder. You will ideally come from a professional built environment background (consultancy or client side) with a track record in managing multiple estates projects in line with the DfE requirements. Previous experience of working with education clients is highly desirable. The appointed candidate will ideally be Chartered or on the Chartership pathway (ie. RICS, CHPP or RIBA or equivalent) although those qualified by experience will be considered.
The role will be home based and will include regular travel to the academies, as well as occasional travel to the group’s central offices in Peterborough.
The Management Recruitment Group have been retained as our exclusive advisor for this appointment and any third party or direct applications will be forwarded to them. To arrange a confidential discussion, contact Nicholas Coppard at nicholas.coppard@mrgglobal.com
