We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who brings energy, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to promoting pupil wellbeing and inclusion. Cravenwood Primary Academy, part of the United Learning Trust, is a large, vibrant school situated in North Manchester, serving children aged 3 to 11. At Cravenwood, we are committed to preparing our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of later life through the delivery of a broad and high-quality education.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with complex needs.
- Has experience providing personal care where required.
- Demonstrates high expectations for all learners, promoting achievement and inclusion.
- Understands a range of additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language).
- Is committed to supporting the delivery of EHCPs and individual support plans.
- Is committed to promoting pupils’ emotional, social and mental wellbeing.
- Demonstrates a compassionate, flexible, and resilient approach within a busy school environment.
- Builds strong relationships and communicates professionally with pupils, families, and staff.
- Works collaboratively as part of a team, including external professionals to provide targeted support.
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Has GCSEs Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Is committed to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Is enthusiastic about contributing to the life of the wider school community.
- Has strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
