We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Programme Lead/Tutor to lead the delivery of our Specialist Teaching Assistant and Early Years Lead Level 5 apprenticeship. You’ll use your school-based expertise to create engaging training, mentor support staff across the country, and ensure every learner gains the skills and confidence to make a real difference in classrooms and nurseries.

About the role

Apprenticeships are a vital part of our strategy for recruiting, retaining, and developing talent across the education sector. As an accredited provider since 2021, we are proud to deliver high-quality, tailored training to colleagues in educational and school support roles across schools, nurseries, and other learning environments. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of school-based apprenticeships by designing and delivering a brand new programme from the ground up. We are seeking someone with extensive experience supporting pupils in schools, at this level, or in another key staff role, who is ready to take the next step into teaching and training. You may be new to working in a training provider, but your depth of practical knowledge and passion for supporting others will be central to creating an engaging, relevant, and impactful learning experience for our apprentices. You will be part of a collaborative professional development team with reach across a national network of over 100 schools.

Teaching will be delivered primarily online, with face-to-face days built into the programme to support practical learning and connection.

Duties/responsibilities:

• Designing and delivering engaging apprenticeship training for Specialist Teaching Assistant and Early Years Lead Level 5.
• Creating a supportive online and face-to-face learning environment where apprentices can thrive.
• Assessing learner work, tracking progress, and preparing apprentices for Gateway and End-Point Assessment.
• Embedding safeguarding, inclusive practice, and evidence-based strategies into all teaching.
• Working closely with schools and employers to align training with workplace needs.
• Providing 1:1 support, tutorials, workshops, and progress reviews tailored to learner goals.
• Contributing to curriculum design and continuous improvement across programmes.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and meeting compliance and funding requirements.

Role requirements

Must have:

• Occupationally competent evidenced by a Level 5 qualification or higher, work experience, or experience of the delivery and assessment.
• Work experience should be above 5 years.
• Hold Level 2 English and maths qualifications, GCSE, A Level or Functional Skills L2.

Desirable:

• Hold a SENCO qualification
• Hold a HLTA qualification
• Hold a degree in relevant subject area
• Experience of working within an SEMH school
• Hold a teaching qualification (PGCE, AET, CET, DET, DiT or equivalent)
• Hold an assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33, CAVA, TAQA)
• Hold an IQA qualification (V1, TAQA L4)
• Hold QTS or QTLS
