Purpose of the role
As a Traffic Management Operative you will install, maintain and remove traffic management in a safe and timely manner and carry out equipment maintenance on site as well as the depot as required.
Main Responsibilities
- On a daily basis check, maintain and if required repair all traffic management equipment
- To install, check and remove all traffic management to the legal requirement and as trained in sector scheme 12a/b/c/d.
- To load and unload vehicles as and when requested.
- To complete work and maintenance sheets for every job on a daily basis and hand into designated Charge Hand.
To observe and promote all aspects of Health and Safety.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be:
- Flexible/adaptable to cope with the variety of work expected with the role.
- Able to work in emergency situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team or individually.
- Ability to produce and maintain accurate and clear records.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to cope with the demands of additional duties involved within the role such as long periods of driving, ability to liaise with various emergency services and the pressures associated with Road Traffic Accidents.
- Good Communication Skills.
Willing to learn and further develop in order to gain qualifications required to carry out the some of the duties involved.
