Overview
In this Grade 6 role, you will provide strategic leadership for supplier management across CDIO to ensure value, risk control, and alignment with HMRC priorities. You will work as a system leader across HMRC, influencing sourcing, governance, and performance across multiple suppliers. You’ll shape policy, standards and capability development while representing CDIO Supplier Management at senior forums. The position sits at the heart of delivering major digital services at national scale and offers meaningful impact on how HMRC partners with suppliers. Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the CDIO sourcing strategy aligned to HMRC objectives and policy
- Oversee end-to-end supplier lifecycle and multi-supplier ecosystems
- Sponsor supplier governance, escalation, and reporting through governance forums
- Lead performance, risk, and value management with KPIs, SLAs, and reporting
- Manage third-party integration and dependency management across value streams
- Provide governance, assurance, and continuous improvement across the pillar
Key requirements
- Senior supplier or commercial management experience in large, complex environments
- Experience managing multiple suppliers and contracts to deliver value and performance
- Experience with continuous improvement and innovation to improve customer outcomes
- Strong people leadership with ability to uplift team capability
- Ability to manage complex, demanding stakeholders collaboratively
- Analytical and reporting skills with outcome focus and evidence-led decisions
