b Overview /b p In this role, you will lead a Data Studio team delivering AI and data science solutions within HMRC’s CDIO Data Science and AI portfolio. You’ll guide small‑medium AI projects from idea to value realization, balancing governance with agile delivery. You’ll partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to ensure compliant, ethical AI outcomes and a smooth transition to live services. This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven role that fosters collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme contributions /li li Flexible and Hybrid Working policies /li li Generous leave starting at 25 days (up to 30) /li li Alpha pension contributions (≈28.97% of salary) /li li Coaching and development opportunities /li li Family friendly policies /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Manage a group of small-medium AI projects including documentation and governance per project /li li Schedule and facilitate agile ceremonies (requirement workshops, show-and-tells, etc.) /li li Coordinate DPIA and data operational processes with data scientists and business experts for compliance /li li Identify and remove obstacles/risks; escalate issues as needed /li li Oversee ongoing management of project benefits, monitoring and updating to align with data science workflow /li li Lead the Data Studio team through the data delivery lifecycle to deliver value within AI projects/programmes /li li Ensure ethical considerations and compliance with standards and policies throughout the project lifecycle /li li Support personal development in AI/agile delivery and leadership through collaboration and learning resources /li li Occasional travel may be required /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Proven track record in a complex, fast-paced project/programme environment /li li Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence across diverse stakeholders /li li Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships and collaborate with cross‑functional teams /li /ul ul li Cross-functional collaboration /li li Strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement /li li Adaptability and learning mindset /li li Agile project management methodologies /li li Governance and assurance activities /li li Requirements gathering and sprint planning /li /ul
