Overview
In this role you lead architectural work to drive transformational IT outcomes at HMRC.
You will shape and communicate technical designs to senior stakeholders, guide delivery teams, and champion innovative solutions that align with the IT strategy.
You’ll work with cross-functional partners to accelerate delivery while managing risk and enabling business change.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of architects and set direction for the team
- Part of the Solution, Design and Architecture Senior Leadership team
- Challenge the status quo and deliver value through coherent architecture
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align solutions with HMRC IT Strategy
- Work with Delivery Teams and partners to ensure design is delivered and implemented
- Manage major programme architecture in terms of size and complexity
- Travel and overnight stays as required

- Ability to develop solutions at pace for legislative changes across multiple projects
- Bridge business strategy for non-technical senior stakeholders
