Overview
In this role, you lead the Edinburgh regional Workplace Operations across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant and customer-focused service delivery. You’ll shape and evolve the estates operating model, manage budgets and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement with senior stakeholders. You’ll work on complex issues to enhance the customer experience and align operations with HMRC’s property transformation goals. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity in a fast-paced, agile government environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary Workplace Operations team across four sites in the Edinburgh Region
- Use data and insight to improve customer experience and service delivery
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including external partners and government officials
- Apply change-management processes and lead complex customer issue discussions
- Manage delegated budget and supervise supplier performance
- Ensure safe, compliant workplaces and health & safety oversight
- Oversee risk assessments and action closure; review regional compliance
- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives and contribute to leadership decisions
