In this role you define HMRC’s technology direction by delivering national-scale IT solution designs.
You’ll lead architectural work within the Chief Digital & Information Office to shape impactful solutions across tax and benefits systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of solution architects within IT Change Programmes
- Own the production of technical IT Solution Designs aligned to the HMRC IT Strategy
- Author costed design documentation with stakeholders and technical architects
- Collaborate with Delivery Teams and partners to implement designs
- Build strong relationships with business and CDIO partners
- Key requirements
- Experience in developing solutions at pace through Architectural Governance and managing architecture risks
- Experience on multiple large-scale, complex IT change/transformation programmes
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and architectural concepts
- Collaborative problem-solver with ability to identify root causes and deliver pragmatic IT solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and document architectural views
