Salary: £26,545.00

Hours: Full time, temporary (until 30th September), rotational shift pattern Monday – Sunday

Location: Edinburgh, Midlothian, United Kingdom

Responsibilities

  • Ensure rental vehicles are returned in a timely and orderly manner and inspected for readiness for the next rental.
  • Interact with customers, process rental agreements and payments.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, documenting any damages or issues and assessing charges.
  • Clarify final charges, collect signed rental agreement receipts.
  • Provide assistance with directions and travel information.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Organise the rental car lot and maintain safety and security protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Prior customer service experience in car rental, retail or hospitality (1-2 years preferred).
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends.
  • Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Friendly, upbeat, proactive attitude.
