Senior Manager, EMEA eCommerce Business Lead
Reports to: VP, Global eCommerce
Location: Bracknell, UK (preferred)
Position Overview
The Senior Manager, EMEA eCommerce Business Lead owns the day-to-day operation and performance of the eCommerce business across the EMEA region. This role sits at the center of a cross‑functional ecosystem - partnering with Marketing, Product, Tech, Revenue Management, and Regional teams - to drive conversion, revenue, and overall digital business health. This is a hands‑on operator role for someone who understands what moves the needle on conversion and revenue, can turn complex data into a clear story that aligns stakeholders, and is comfortable making confident calls in ambiguous situations where perfect data isn't available.
Key Responsibilities
eCommerce Business Operations
- Own day-to-day operation of the EMEA eCommerce business, monitoring performance across the full funnel and acting on opportunities and risks in real time
- Serve as the business lead connecting Marketing, Product, Tech, Finance, and Regional teams around a shared view of eCommerce performance and priorities
- Manage the operating cadence for the EMEA eCommerce business, including business performance reviews, issue triage, and prioritization of fixes and enhancements
- Identify and troubleshoot site/funnel issues affecting conversion or revenue, coordinating with Product and Tech teams to resolve them
Conversion & Revenue Growth
- Develop deep fluency in the core levers driving conversion rate and revenue across the EMEA digital funnel (merchandising, pricing/offers, site experience, checkout, payments, etc.)
- Identify, prioritize, and drive optimization initiatives that directly improve conversion and top‑line revenue
- Partner with Product and UX teams on test‑and‑learn roadmaps (A/B testing, site experience improvements) to continuously improve performance
- Monitor competitive and market dynamics across EMEA markets, adjusting strategy and tactics accordingly
Data Storytelling & Stakeholder Alignment
- Translate complex eCommerce metrics and KPIs into clear, compelling narratives that inform decision‑making at multiple levels of the organization
- Build and present regular performance readouts to the VP, Global eCommerce and cross‑functional leadership, connecting data to business implications and recommended actions
- Align cross‑functional stakeholders around a shared understanding of performance drivers, trade‑offs, and priorities
- Make data accessible and actionable for partners who may not be close to the day‑to‑day metrics
Decision‑Making in Ambiguity
- Make confident, well‑reasoned decisions in fast‑moving or ambiguous situations, using data triangulation when complete information isn't available
- Balance speed and rigor - know when a decision needs more analysis versus when to act on the best available signal
- Proactively flag risks and trade‑offs to leadership while still moving initiatives forward
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Act as the primary eCommerce business point of contact for EMEA, representing the region's needs and priorities to global Product, Tech, and Marketing teams
- Partner with Revenue Management on forecasting, performance tracking, and business case development for new initiatives
- Collaborate with global eCommerce peers to share best practices and ensure EMEA strategies align with overall global eCommerce direction
Experience
- 6+ years in eCommerce, digital business management, or growth/conversion-focused roles, ideally within a regional or multi‑market business
- Demonstrated track record of driving measurable improvements in conversion rate and revenue
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable narratives for varied audiences, including senior leadership
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and incomplete data; able to triangulate and make sound decisions under time pressure
- Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Tech, and Finance teams in a matrixed organization
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without direct authority
- Experience with eCommerce platforms, analytics tools, and testing/optimization frameworks
- Experience in travel, mobility, or a similarly high‑consideration, transaction‑driven consumer category is a plus
