We're looking for a Business Applications Specialist to take ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), keeping the platform reliable, secure and ready to support our evolving business needs. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on system administration with problem-solving, collaboration and continuous improvement.
The role involves being the primary administrator for D365 F&O, managing day-to-day configuration, access and security while helping colleagues get the most from the platform. Working with internal IT, business stakeholders, Microsoft and specialist partners, you'll resolve complex issues, coordinate changes and support reliable integrations across our business systems.
If you enjoy combining technical ownership with collaborative problem-solving, this role offers the chance to make a practical difference at UKAS. You'll help balance service continuity, security and business priorities while shaping how our systems develop and supporting consistent best practice across the organisation.
What you'll do:
- Manage D365 F&O configuration, user provisioning, permissions and access reviews, including segregation of duties.
- Maintain workflows, batch jobs and data-management settings, supported by clear technical documentation and administration guidance.
- Keep systems and data integrations running smoothly through monitoring, maintenance and complex issue resolution, coordinating suppliers and integration plans where needed.
- Own release and change management, coordinating Microsoft updates, upgrades, stakeholder communications and automated regression testing to minimise disruption.
- Apply security standards, data-protection requirements and internal policies, maintaining access controls, certificates and authentication arrangements.
- Prioritise changes with the Business Systems Analyst, assess new features and identify improvements to reliability, efficiency and user adoption, contributing to our long‑term IT architecture.
Please note this is a full-time role, with the option of hybrid working, based at our Head Office in Staines-upon-Thames. Occasional out-of-hours work will be required to manage system upgrades, changes and developments.
