United Infrastructure Power T&D Ltd is looking to recruit for an EHV Cables Construction Manager to enhance our site management team in response to an increased workload in underground cables (UGC), while requiring flexibility for travel and work throughout England & Wales.

This opportunity is a site-based position, covering various locations in England & Wales.

The Role

Supporting the project manager, you will facilitate and deliver key packages of cabling construction projects. You will assist in the production of construction plans and coordinate the engineering support team. You will also be responsible for the procurement of construction materials and specialist subcontracts for the successful delivery of projects.

You will have substantial experience of managing sites and field-based staff on cable or substation projects and underground cabling works. Technical expertise of the civil, cable and/or electrical aspects of cabling projects is key. Experience in cable installation and associated activities i.e., jointing and testing requirements is essential as is previous working knowledge of distribution network operators.

Individuals who can demonstrate their interest in developing their skillset in underground cables and who are enthusiastic about progressing their career within the Transmission and Distribution sector are encouraged to apply.
