Glenelly Infrastructure solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Power & Civils Distribution business based in Scotland. The role would be based in our Livingston office, working alongside an established team.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside or as part of a Commercial Team with a good understanding of commercial processes
- Develop a partnership and collaborative working relationship with the Client’s commercial team
- A background in a relevant industry – construction, utilities, or Civil Engineering – and some knowledge of NEC contracts
- Develop project cost models through liaison with Project Managers and in conjunction with the contract Framework agreement
- Liaise with Client representatives to resolve payment disputes and minimise the value of outstanding revenue due to Glenelly
- Monitor outstanding revenue and take steps to avoid this becoming overdue
- Ensure Payment Applications are submitted timely on completion of projects
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure the overall financial success of the framework
- Strong Excel and Database management experience as well as good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in civils / utilities projects or a history of working within frameworks and DNO projects would be of specific interest
