We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex, multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and demonstrate our core values: Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, and Excellence.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple ongoing projects (up to £10million in value).
  • Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM2015 regulations.
  • Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects.
  • Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and achieving target margins.
  • Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen.
  • Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Chair and lead project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions.
  • Manage change control and client expectations through effective communication and risk management.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost-effective, and buildable solutions.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams.
  • Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained.
  • Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5years’ experience in a similar Project Manager role within the water industry.
  • APMPMQ (or equivalent project management qualification).
  • SMSTS (CITB).
  • CSCS (Manager Level).
  • CDM Awareness.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Proficient in MSProject or similar planning tools.
  • SEATS or Environmental Management training.
