Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct live quality audits of reinstatement works across active sites
  • Carry out site safety audits to ensure adherence to HSEQ standards
  • Complete post-reinstatement inspections to assess quality and identify defects
  • Monitor and review Street Manager reports, identifying and escalating new defects
  • Ensure full compliance with quality standards, including NRSWA and SROH requirements
  • Undertake joint site walks with Highway Inspectors, addressing any concerns promptly
  • Manage and track outstanding defects, ensuring timely resolution and closure
  • Provide detailed reporting on reinstatement performance, risks, and trends
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to drive continuous improvement in reinstatement practices
  • Support pre-construction planning by identifying risks and advising on best practice

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in reinstatement, highways, or utilities environments
  • Strong working knowledge of NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways)
  • Experience conducting quality and safety audits
  • Ability to interpret Street Manager data and manage defect workflows
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with local authorities and highway inspectors
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation (essential)
  • Relevant HSEQ or construction-related qualifications (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
