Job Description

Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Health and Safety Advisor to join our team based in Kilmarnock. This Health and Safety Advisor role will see you supporting the business to give guidance, support, advice, and governance to the Projects/Business on all SHEQ related subjects. Ideally you will have some experience in a Health and Safety or SHEQ role, but we can offer training and support to build your experience and know-how.

As Health and Safety Advisor you will:

  • Assist and promote the local & external audit programme.
  • Help to ensure the business is compliant with all HSES Regulations, company policies and the BMS across the business.
  • Provide SHEQ advice and support at an operational level.
  • Assist in the identification of site SHEQ training needs.
  • Communicate and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Support the SHEQ upskilling and development of the business operational teams.
  • Promote SHEQ initiatives and innovations across their Project.

Who we're looking for

Ideally you would hold, or be at an advanced stage in working towards a relevant professional qualification - such as NEBOSH General. Prior experience in SHEQ, health and safety or working in construction, utilities, DNO or ICP environment would be advantageous. Analytical skills with an attention to detail. Experience of reviewing and producing SHEQ reports for managers and clients.
