In this role you will undertake the effective movement and control of all materials to support the business.

Job Objective
The successful candidate must be motivated / adaptable and have a professional approach.
As a UK wide operation, the HGV driver will work as part of a team who are responsible for the delivery to and from the sites of all plant/equipment in accordance with management/ contract procedures and legislation.
- Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Checking & Routine Maintenance of Vehicle and Crane (Pal finger / Hiab) reporting defects & providing weekly returns of inspection.
- Maintain and provide Tachograph / Weekly Record Sheet for Local Goods Transport Operations.
- Liaise with the Power T&D Transport manager to ensure FTA Inspections are carried out in specified time periods.
- Collect Contract (Free Issue) Materials.
- Distribute Contract materials & equipment to sites as directed maintaining accurate records reporting Over / Shortage / Damages to Materials & Logistics Specialist / Site Managers
- Move Plant & Equipment from site to site as directed maintaining accurate records reporting any Damage/Defects to Materials & Logistics Specialist / Site Managers
- Collect & Return scrap to Skips including Conductor/Fittings/Insulators.
- Collect & Return rubbish to Skips.
- Arrange collection and delivery of skips in conjunction with Materials & Logistics Specialist /Site Managers direction maintaining accurate records.
- Assist on Sites & Stores when required.
- Haulage of Specialist Plant & Equipment from Strategic Depot locations within the UK to sites maintaining accurate records
- In accordance with British Assessment Certifications OHSAS 18001, ISO9001:2000 and ISO 14001, each employee will comply with and contribute to the effective implementation of the UI Power T& D policies: -
