The Role

We are looking for a Graduate Planner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in project planning, working alongside experienced planners and project professionals on some of the UK's most significant energy and infrastructure projects.

As a Graduate Planner, you will support the development, maintenance and monitoring of project programmes, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. Through a combination of structured development, formal training and on-the-job experience, you will gain valuable knowledge of project controls, construction planning and infrastructure delivery.

This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and long-term career progression within the planning discipline.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the development and maintenance of project programmes and schedules.

  • Assist with planning and coordinating project activities across engineering, procurement and construction teams.

  • Monitor project progress and help identify schedule risks and opportunities.

  • Support the preparation of programme updates, reports and performance metrics.

  • Learn to use industry-standard planning software, including Primavera P6.

  • Participate in project reviews, planning meetings and site visits.

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure programme information remains accurate and up to date.

  • Develop an understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques and infrastructure project delivery.

  • Build the skills and experience needed to progress towards a professional planning career.

  • This role will be based at our office in Alness, near Inverness.

Who We're Looking For

Our graduate programme is designed to help you transition into your chosen profession and build a successful long-term career.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a minimum 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Management or a related subject.

  • Have a genuine interest in planning, project controls and major infrastructure projects.

  • Demonstrate strong organisational and analytical skills.

  • Be confident working with data and problem-solving.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be motivated to learn and develop professionally.

  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Be adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities.

  • Hold a full driving licence or be actively working towards achieving one.
