Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure, for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
Social Infrastructure –
Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain own and others health and safety
- Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructed
- Follow health and hygiene rules
- Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.
- Backfilling of excavations to correct standards.
- Removal of spoil from excavation areas.
- Manhandle materials, plant and equipment
- Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes
- Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
- Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security
- Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard
- Assist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company business
- Maintain safety, environmental and quality records
- Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentation
- Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision
Qualifications
- Full clean driving licence
- A valid Grab Lorry Loader licence
- National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR)
