United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and proactive Reinstatement Manager to oversee and drive the quality of reinstatement works across our capital delivery projects. This role is critical in ensuring all reinstatement activities meet required standards, comply with regulations, and are delivered safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with delivery teams, highway authorities, and inspectors to maintain the highest levels of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live quality audits of reinstatement works across active sites
- Carry out site safety audits to ensure adherence to HSEQ standards
- Complete post-reinstatement inspections to assess quality and identify defects
- Monitor and review Street Manager reports, identifying and escalating new defects
- Ensure full compliance with quality standards, including NRSWA and SROH requirements
- Undertake joint site walks with Highway Inspectors, addressing any concerns promptly
- Manage and track outstanding defects, ensuring timely resolution and closure
- Provide detailed reporting on reinstatement performance, risks, and trends
- Work collaboratively with project teams to drive continuous improvement in reinstatement practices
- Support pre-construction planning by identifying risks and advising on best practice
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in reinstatement, highways, or utilities environments
- Strong working knowledge of NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways)
- Experience conducting quality and safety audits
- Ability to interpret Street Manager data and manage defect workflows
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with local authorities and highway inspectors
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Qualifications
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation (essential)
- Relevant HSEQ or construction-related qualifications (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
