We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary water and wastewater projects. This role will be part of our integrated project delivery team and will manage projects up to £10million in value, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position involves a range of responsibilities described below and requires a proven track record in the water sector, advanced project management qualifications, and relevant safety and commercial certifications. Responsibilities Champion and demonstrate our core values: Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, and Excellence. Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple ongoing projects (up to £10million in value). Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations. Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects. Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture. Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and achieving target margins. Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen. Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress. Chair and lead project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions. Manage change control and client expectations through effective communication and risk management. Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost‑effective, and buildable solutions. Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams. Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained. Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules. Qualifications We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and highly organised individual who brings a passion for delivering quality civil engineering projects. You’ll be an experienced project leader with a strong track record in the water industry, particularly across complex infrastructure and non‑infrastructure works. You’ll have a problem‑solving mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the drive to exceed client expectations in everything you do. Essential Skills and Qualifications Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5years’ experience in a similar Project Manager role within the water industry APM PMQ (or equivalent project management qualification) SMSTS (CITB) CSCS (Manager Level) CDM Awareness Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management Desirable Skills and Qualifications NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely Temporary Works Coordinator certification Proficient in MS Project or similar planning tools SEATS or Environmental Management training #J-18808-Ljbffr
