The Strategy Analyst will provide analytical, research, and project support to the Strategy & Innovation team. The role focuses on gathering market intelligence, assessing emerging trends, supporting go‑to‑market strategies, and contributing to the planning and execution of innovation programmes. It is a developmental role suited to a motivated graduate with strong commercial and analytical skills, offering exposure to the UK Water infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market intelligence research across energy infrastructure, renewables, and adjacent markets.
  • Analyse competitor activities, market trends, and external innovations to inform strategy.
  • Support the development of business cases, scenario planning, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Support in preparing high‑quality reports, presentations, and papers for the SLT.
  • Collect, collate, and interpret data to support investment, partnership, and market entry decisions.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, commercial, and business development to align strategy initiatives.
  • Develop a structured knowledge base of sector developments, regulatory frameworks, and innovation funding opportunities.
  • Provide ad‑hoc analytical support to capture and pursue opportunities, enhancing business development strategies.
Qualifications
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in energy, engineering, economics, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting research, performing analytics, and solving complex challenges using insight, with direct industry involvement in the energy sector.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach and strong commercial awareness through direct involvement in market sector strategy, energy projects, or research.
