Position: Assistant Project Manager – United Infrastructure Power & T&D, based in Dumfries, Scotland. Site‑based role supporting the Project Director on overhead line network works.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Director in overseeing the delivery of the project, managing scope, schedule, cost and risk.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers to keep works on time and budget.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to align and manage all commercial and operational matters.
- Maintain the programme, ensuring accurate progress tracking and completion plans.
- Prepare and submit client correspondence in accordance with contract requirements.
- Contribute to execution plans for future phases of the project.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrated project delivery experience in the transmission and distribution sector or a related sector focusing on groundworks and civil engineering.
- Proven skills in construction management, stakeholder management, cost estimation, and project planning.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities with initiative and ownership.
- Experience of multi‑million‑pound projects and adherence to safety, quality and budget targets.
