Roles & Responsibilities

Primary focus on readiness, information handovers, approvals, governance, and delivery integration.

Part A – Readiness (Part A focus)

  • Interface Management & Governance – Maintain the Interface Management Plan and Interface Register. Lead weekly interface reviews and manage key blockers. Track decisions, assumptions and actions to closure.
  • Scope & Demarcation – Define clear boundaries between UI, subcontractors, design and construction. Ensure no gaps or overlaps in scope across packages and sections.
  • Workface Readiness – Coordinate readiness from access → ecology → permits → RAMS → mobilisation. Identify and mitigate blockers early.
  • Information & Design Coordination – Ensure key inputs (survey, utilities, GI, design data) are identified, issued and controlled. Manage interfaces between GI, design development and submissions.
  • Reviews, Approvals & Permits – Coordinate review processes (UI, SSE, Authorities). Manage permits, traffic management and authority submissions as programme gates.
  • Environmental & Constraints Management – Coordinate ECoW/ACoW requirements, constraints and compliance. Ensure constraints are reflected in programme and workface release.
  • Change, Risk & Reporting – Maintain interface-related risks, issues and change triggers. Support change management (TQ/EWN/instruction). Provide weekly reporting on blockers, risks and upcoming hold points.
  • Continuous Improvement – Capture lessons learned and improve interface processes from Part A to Part B.

Part B – Construction Phase

  • Construction Interfaces – Coordinate design, construction and logistics interfaces during delivery. Manage shared work areas, sequencing and constraints.
  • Temporary Works & Methods – Ensure temporary works and high‑risk activities are coordinated and approved.
  • Completion & Handover – Coordinate completion evidence, inspections and handover requirements. Ensure all interface requirements are closed for client acceptance.
