Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the company ambassador in all aspects of SHEQ; administer weekly SHEQ inspections with Contractors’ Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and ensure contractors comply with the SHEQ plan, permit-to-work, toolbox talks, safety signage and emergency evacuation drills.
• Agree method statements, risk assessments and job safety analyses; ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed documentation.
• Coordinate with all necessary disciplines to ensure timely and efficient installation of equipment and adherence to commissioning handover and start‑up schedules.
• Develop a schedule of tie‑ins, interfaces and terminal points with contractors; maintain quality control records and ensure all test equipment calibration and ITPs are in place.
• Supervise construction supervisors and engineers within assigned areas, providing daily surveillance checks, ensuring safe working conditions, qualified supervision and reliable equipment.
• Review discipline scopes against contract requisitions and ensure compliance with the latest revisions, AFC drawings, quantities and specifications.
• Plan and coordinate contractor interfaces – ensuring effective take‑over by follow‑on contractors and efficient access to work areas.
• Conduct weekly coordination meetings across disciplines to track progress and target completion against the contract schedule.
• Provide detailed daily and weekly work plans with supervising personnel to facilitate schedule completions.
• Ensure quality control checks and tests are recorded accurately, complying with project specifications, AFC drawings and method statements; manage as‑built drawings and verification.
• Review commissioning procedures and inspection criteria for pre‑commissioning activities; assess contractor performance against agreed milestones.
• Maintain practical security and protection of works, including temporary lighting, transport, vehicles, plant, equipment and hand tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Documented experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) in construction and heavy civils.
• Relevant qualification: HNC or equivalent, accompanied by significant experience.
• UK‑wide EPC experience with knowledge of the local labour market.
• Demonstrated ability to manage direct labour and contractor interfaces.
