As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome new Water Service & Mains Laying Teams to contribute to our success. Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the installation of mains and services to required standards.
  • Maintain own and others health and safety.
  • Carry out safety checks and inspections of vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructed.
  • Follow health and hygiene rules.
  • Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.
  • Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus.
  • Manhandle materials, plant and equipment.
  • Install pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards ensuring, in particular, that good jointing and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes.
  • Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes.
  • Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security.
  • Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard.
  • Assist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company business.
  • Maintain safety, environmental and quality records.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentation.
  • Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision.

  • Water Safety “Passport” (EUSR)
  • National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR)
  • NRSWA (Units 1–3 minimum)
  • CSCS card
  • Cat & Genny 360 operators ticket
  • Dumper operators ticket
  • Butt Fusion

  • First aid
