Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities:
- Manage tender budgets / cost codes, reporting on costs and advising on budget requirements.
- Lead pricing reviews, coordinating inputs from all necessary disciplines.
- Guide estimating to ensure pricing is aligned with commercial strategy.
- Coordinate contract reviews making qualifications appropriate for risk profile.
- Lead risk reviews appreciating likely risks to be considered and prompting engagement from all disciplines.
- Coordinate regional Commercial Manager engagement and ownership.
- Lead bid clarification / qualification basis with client interface.
- Lead commercial handovers to delivery team.
- Oversee and facilitate supply-chain input.
- Manage tender governance and review process.
- Manage external support / consultants.
- Line management of estimating and contracts team.
- Client PoC for commercial/pricing negotiation.
Person Specification:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, along with appropriate professional qualification (preferred), although other relevant experience will be considered.
- Substantial experience in a similar role with consolidated leadership/management experience ideally gained within Transmission and Distribution or civils sector although not essential.
- Instinctive appreciation of risks and figures when reviewing and approving work product by team.
- Inspire team to deliver promptly and accurately to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
- The ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organization.
