The Quality Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Quality team across construction projects.
This role is designed to support and shadow experienced QA Advisors, assisting with the day-to-day administration of the department, compilation of quality documentation, and liaising with the site teams, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain required information.
This position offers an excellent development opportunity with the potential to progress into a QA Advisor role subject to performance, capability and business requirements.
- Specific Duties
- Support QA Advisors with day‑to‑day quality administration across construction projects.
- Assist with the closeout of legacy project handovers.
- Assist in the compilation of project handover documentation.
- Scan, collate, check, and organise quality documentation to ensure it is easily identifiable and available for use.
- Liaise with site teams, colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain required quality records, certificates, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain quality registers, trackers, and logs, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- File and manage project quality documentation in an agreed folder structure.
- Assist with basic quality checks on documentation prior to submission.
- Shadow experienced QA Advisors to gain exposure to handover records and quality processes.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps or inefficiencies in documentation and record‑keeping processes.
- Report documentation or quality issues and concerns to the relevant QA Advisor.
- Competencies: Knowledge & Experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documentation accurately.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Share Point, etc.).
- Willing to learn, develop, and progress within the Quality function.
- Able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a busy team.
- Previous experience in an administrative, document control, or quality‑related role is essential.
- A full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
