The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of People Services, you will lead the day-to-day operation of People Services, ensuring colleagues and managers receive a responsive, efficient and customer-focused service throughout the employee lifecycle.
This is an opportunity to make a real impact, leading a team, improving processes and helping shape how People Services operates across a growing and changing business.
You'll balance operational delivery with continuous improvement, ensuring service standards are met, processes are compliant and the employee experience remains at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Performance
- Own day-to-day service delivery, ensuring agreed service levels and KPIs are achieved.
- Oversee the management and resolution of People queries and cases.
- Monitor service performance, case volumes and trends, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Embed effective controls, quality checks and clear escalation processes.

- Oversee key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contractual changes, promotions, transfers, family leave and offboarding.
- Ensure employee records and documentation are accurate, timely and compliant.
- Simplify, standardise and improve processes across the Group.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and lead operational improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation, guidance and knowledge resources.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with managers, colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
- Work closely with People Systems, Payroll, Reward and the wider People team to deliver a joined-up service.
- Ensure People technology supports operational requirements and effective service delivery.
- Provide clear, practical guidance on People processes, policies and ways of working.
Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure processes comply with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
- Maintain robust controls, accurate audit trails and secure handling of confidential employee information.
- Identify and elevate operational risks and areas of non-compliance.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
About You
You'll be an experienced People Services, HR Operations or HR Shared Services professional with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering effective, customer-focused HR services.
You'll be comfortable working in a complex, evolving organisation, able to manage competing priorities while keeping service quality, compliance and continuous improvement firmly in focus.
Ideally, you'll bring:
