  • We are looking for an experienced
  • Estimator with a strong background in

Social Housing to join our growing Social Infrastructure team.

You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders, supporting the growth of the business and ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Produce commercially viable and competitive tender submissions.
  • Undertake quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Work closely with commercial, operational, and bid teams.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
  • Present tender cost build-ups and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support project handovers to operational delivery teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and labour costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all tender submissions are completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the construction industry.
  • Previous Social Housing experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of refurbishment, maintenance, and construction projects.
  • Knowledge of JCT and ACA contracts.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules of works.
  • Experience preparing Bills of Quantities and quantity take-offs.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
  • Quantity Surveying or related qualification desirable.
