- Social Infrastructure – Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
Job Description:
- Support the SHEQ strategy aligned with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Internal Environmental audits to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Support review and update of the environmental documentation including procedures, risk registers, legal registers, training material and site-specific plans.
- Support project teams with implementation of environmental procedures to ensure that contracts are environmentally compliant.
- Support waste management practices across the pillar including waste data collection and analysis, performance reviews, initiatives to increase recycling rates and provide insight into driving waste reduction strategy.
- Support implementation of the Normative Carbon Capture platform across the projects to enhance emissions tracking and reporting.
- Support capture and data analysis across the projects to support pillar-wide carbon reporting.
- Support operational teams in the delivery of the project’s team targets and metrics related to carbon reduction and waste management.
- Provide advice to colleagues and subcontractors on environmental matters to the project teams to ensure the effectiveness of the Construction Phase Plans during the lifecycle of the project.
- Lead investigations into environmental accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Undertake reviews of UI Social Infrastructure/contractor documentation and when required participate in site meetings.
- Upskill wider teams on environmental and sustainability subject matters; support development of toolbox talks and training documents.
