Job Description
- To assist the installation supervisor on switchgear installations, off-loading, installing busbars, bus wiring, and testing the switchgear panels/system.
- Test and inspect the quality of all switchgear assembly and its components.
- Integrate/assemble and modify switchgear assemblies and supervise others doing this activity.
- Repair switchgear when required.
- Function test switchgear.
- Internal wiring, integration and testing duties when required.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Comply with all site rules, PPE requirements and H&S regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Strong proven track record in electrical engineering.
- Excellent Engineering skills and Testing experience.
- Strong Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Pro-active & attention to detail essential.
- Good computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels.
- Ability to travel at short notice, including long distances.
- Team player.
- Willing to work overtime when required, including working away from home Monday – Friday.
- Awareness of H+S regulations on site.
Additional Information
Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
