Job Description

  • To assist the installation supervisor on switchgear installations, off-loading, installing busbars, bus wiring, and testing the switchgear panels/system.
  • Test and inspect the quality of all switchgear assembly and its components.
  • Integrate/assemble and modify switchgear assemblies and supervise others doing this activity.
  • Repair switchgear when required.
  • Function test switchgear.
  • Internal wiring, integration and testing duties when required.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Comply with all site rules, PPE requirements and H&S regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Strong proven track record in electrical engineering.
  • Excellent Engineering skills and Testing experience.
  • Strong Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active & attention to detail essential.
  • Good computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels.
  • Ability to travel at short notice, including long distances.
  • Team player.
  • Willing to work overtime when required, including working away from home Monday – Friday.
  • Awareness of H+S regulations on site.

Additional Information

Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
