Job Description
The Strategy Analyst will provide analytical, research, and project support to the Strategy & Innovation team. This role will focus on gathering market intelligence, assessing emerging trends, supporting go-to-market strategies, and contributing to the planning and execution of innovation programmes. It is a developmental role suited to a motivated graduate with strong commercial and analytical skills, offering exposure to the UK energy infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market intelligence research across energy infrastructure, renewables, and adjacent markets.
- Analyse competitor activities, market trends, and external innovations to inform strategy.
- Support the development of business cases, scenario planning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Support in preparing high-quality reports, presentations, and papers for the SLT.
- Collect, collate, and interpret data to support investment, partnership, and market entry decisions.
- Work with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, commercial, and business development to align strategy initiatives.
- Develop a structured knowledge base of sector developments, regulatory frameworks, and innovation funding opportunities.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to capture and pursuit opportunities, enhancing business development strategies.
Qualifications
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in energy, engineering, economics, data science or other affiliated field of study
- Experience conducting research, performing analytics, and solving complex challenges using insight, demonstrating direct industry involvement in the energy sector.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
- Demonstrated proactive approach and strong commercial awareness gained through direct involvement in market sector strategy, energy projects or research
- Applicants should be able to articulate and evidence their interest in energy infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Python/R).
