We are currently seeking qualified plumbers for water meter installations in domestic properties across the Northumbrian Water region for a large Utilities company. You will be primarily responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of Smart Meters, whilst also responding to any maintenance or emergency appointments.

You will be required to attend an induction & training prior to working live on the contract. Once live you will be required to install a range of water meters (both internal and external) being allocated a number of jobs per day, but with the opportunity and ability to request additional jobs if desired. In addition you will be expected to carry out plumbing surveys alongside the installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and remove Smart Meters in domestic properties.
  • Respond to maintenance or emergency appointments as required.
  • Attend induction and training before commencing work.
  • Install a range of water meters (internal and external) and manage daily job allocations, with the option to request additional jobs.
  • Conduct plumbing surveys alongside installations.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualified Plumber.
  • At least one year of practical plumbing experience.
  • Preferably City & Guilds plumbing qualification (or similar).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • This is a long-term, secure engagement as part of the Client’s internal team.
  • Van, Fuel Card, Uniform, Work mobile, PPE, and non-hand tools provided.
  • Positions are subject to full background check, Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, and two references.
