  • Utility Infrastructure – Our team designs, builds and maintains critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
  • Social Infrastructure – Our team revitalises homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work from retrofit to refurbishment and maintenance.

The Marketing Manager for Social Infrastructure will be responsible for end-to-end campaign management for our property services division within United Infrastructure. The business is growing and needs communications and marketing support to keep up with this growth. Projects are all over the country with key areas in the South, Midlands and North West. This role will build market awareness, improve media coverage, follow and share industry changes, strengthen the company’s positioning in existing markets, and promote the brand into new segments in the UK. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of marketing delivery, including campaigns, PR, exhibitions, digital communications, social media, and design for internal and external use. The position offers a broad remit for a commercially minded marketing professional to drive profile and growth within the UK’s property services sector, working within the public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an integrated marketing strategy aligned with the company’s Social Infrastructure growth plan, alongside our Group Head of Marketing and Communications.
  • Maximise impact across digital (websites and socials), events, PR, and create high quality content across the UK.
  • Ensure we are at key events, award ceremonies and in key publications throughout the year.
  • Build brand visibility across sub-segments through targeted campaigns.
  • Coordinate exhibitions, industry conferences, and trade events; manage logistics, branding, sponsorships, and post-event follow-up.
  • Oversee press releases and media engagement to secure and manage reputable industry coverage.
  • Produce thought leadership and case study material of projects.
  • Create marketing materials for events, client proposals and internal meetings.
  • Maintain marketing materials, capability statements, and digital assets aligned with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify and promote success stories, innovations, industry trends and project wins.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory developments to inform campaign focus.

Key Competencies

  • Experience with Media Planning & Coordination.
  • Strategic marketing planning and brand management experience within public sector/social housing/utilities sectors desirable.
  • Team player, people-person, excellent at building relationships across stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills tailored to technical, commercial, and industry audiences.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical solutions into compelling stories.
  • Proven experience managing events, exhibitions, and digital campaigns end-to-end.
  • Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Commercial awareness and familiarity with business development processes in an industrial/engineering setting desirable.
  • Collaborative, confident, and creative mindset with a focus on delivery and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (CIM qualification desirable).
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or brand management, preferably in property or ‘built environment’, energy, utilities, engineering, or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in promoting a B2B technical or project-based organisation.
  • Experience coordinating media agencies, designers, and event suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn strategy and industry media relations.

Performance and Success Metrics

  • Brand recognition and market visibility within property services.
  • Social media and press engagement, submissions and management of relevant industry awards/events.
  • Adherence to budget with measurable value outcomes.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working based primarily in the North West, with travel to clients, events, and offices across the UK.
  • Involvement in external and internal communications strategy for the Social Infrastructure division of United Infrastructure.
  • Holidays 26 days plus bank holidays.
