Our company is split into two business areas:
- Utility Infrastructure – Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
- Social Infrastructure - Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
We are looking for a graduate to join our Utility Infrastructure - Major Projects team. As a Graduate at United Infrastructure, you will learn something new every day and develop your skills and knowledge in the construction industry in a supportive environment with an approachable team. Day-to-day, you’ll be assisting the Major Projects team providing engineering support for major infrastructure projects. All of the projects being developed are Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects across the UK, the first being a Carbon Capture Pipeline in the Northwest which started in January 2025. This is a project role, based at our head office at Warrington and requiring travel to work at site in Mold (Cheshire).
Our graduate programme lasts for two years, and you will have a tailored development pathway aligned to your discipline. You will attend virtual and in-person events across the two years to enable you to develop and hone your business and leadership skills, in addition to your technical skills through working towards professional accreditation. You’ll be supported to develop both professionally and personally, and wherever you want to take your career, hard work will be rewarded with progression opportunities in a variety of pathways.
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have already achieved, or be predicted to achieve by the start date:
- Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
- Driving licence or be actively working towards achieving this and commitment to achieve by the start date.
You must also be available to start full-time work by September 2026 and have:
